Amber Besaw
Director of Community Programming, Northern Berkshire Community Coalition


Amber Besaw has been the Director of Community Programming at the Northern Berkshire Community Coalition since October of 2011. In this position, Amber oversees The Family Place, a family resource center, and supervises the coordinators of Northern Berkshire Neighbors and the UNITY youth development programs.

Amber and her family moved to the Berkshires almost 10 years ago from upstate New York where she was born and raised. Amber has a BA from SUNY Potsdam in Sociology and a MA in Human Services and Community Counseling from SUNY Oswego. Amber's 16 year career in Human Services has been spent working with children and families in a variety of disciplines, both in NY and MA. Amber is a mother of 2 boys and enjoys being a part of many school and community functions, as well as her local church community.
