As a certified Substance Abuse Counselor, Sheila Patton has worked with various Memphis-based homeless programs and shelters. She has devoted the majority of her career to providing counseling and supportive services to marginalized populations, particularly homeless veterans and women.

She currently serves as a facilitator for SEW MUCH LOVE, a Blues City Cultural Center project that uses art as a form of creative expression and social enterprise for homeless women.
