Ayana C. Williams
Facilitator, Blues City Cultural Center

Ayana C. Williams is a veteran artist who has performed in numerous Blues City Cultural Center theatrical productions. While she considers her performance in A Tribute to Richard Wright at the Sorbonne in Paris as the highlight of her acting career, she now prefers to be off-stage as a director, stage manager, or technical advisor. As a facilitator of BCCC asset-based empowerment programs, she has been instrumental in developing strategies to reach underserved, marginalized populations.

In addition to her work in the creative arts, she currently serves as the program director of the Salvation Army Emergency Family Shelter. She strongly believes the arts can lead to a better way of life. Therefore, she blends her artistic talents with her professional career to build the capacities of women throughout the Memphis area.
