Frank Browning: Palm Springs Police Lieutenant, Lieutenant in charge of the Neighborhood Policing Officers program (NPO),Police Liaison to Organized Neighborhoods of Palm Springs (ONE-PS).

As the Lieutenant in charge of the Department’s Neighborhood Policing Officers program, Lt. Browning is often asked to speak to groups of residents interested in organizing their neighborhoods about how the NPO program operates, what they can expect and the benefits to them. He discusses any recent crimes in their area and what they can do to make themselves, their homes and their neighborhoods safer. Each month Lt. Browning speaks to the Organized Neighborhoods of Palm Springs (ONE-PS) about recent criminal activity, shares news from the Police Department and answers questions from representatives of the City’s 39 organized neighborhoods.

Frank Browning has been with the Palm Springs Police Department for over 16 years. His experience consists of, Patrol Sergeant, Training Coordinator-Field Training Officer’s Program, Critical Incident Team Investigator and Commander, Detective in the Crimes Against Person’s Unit, SWAT member, Field Training Officer and Tactical Communication Instructor. He is a graduate of the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute, has a Master’s Degree in Business Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Prior to joining the police force, Lieutenant Browning worked for the Department of Defense as a Federal Police Officer and spent eight years in the United States Air Force as a Military Police Officer.
