Lee Bonno
Director of Neighborhood and Community Relations, Palm Springs

Lee Bonno is the director of the Office of Neighborhood Involvement in the City of Palm Springs. Lee works with all of the City's established neighborhood organizations—now numbering 39. She addresses groups of residents about the benefits of neighborhood organizations including the Neighborhood Policing Officers program. Lee is the contact person/liaison for the neighborhood organizations and the Police Department.

Once up and running, neighborhood organizations continue working with Lee and she is frequently asked to make presentations at their meetings and other neighborhood gatherings, often accompanied by Neighborhood Policing Officers. Her institutional knowledge of the City's neighborhood program provides her with unique insight as to “how we do it in Palm Springs” including what works well and what challenges you'll face.

Once the Public Information Officer for the City of Palm Springs and now the Director of Neighborhood and Community Relations, Lee Bonno is an experienced public speaker. She has made presentations to the area Board of Realtors, the Citizens Police Academy and was a presenter at last year’s NUSA conference. During the “season” in Palm Springs, Lee's weekends are busy speaking to neighborhood organizations and those wanting to join the program.
