Mark Barons
Neighborhood Resources Manager, City of Littleton, Colorado


Mark Barons is the Neighborhood Resources Manager for the City of Littleton, Colorado. In 2013 Mark was asked to create and implement a neighborhood program designed to foster community involvement, promote neighborhood based leadership and support community based problem solving. In 2014 the City of Littleton hired Ryan Thompson to implement a community based Mediation and Conflict Resolution Program and since inception, the program has seen exceptional success.

Mark has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Metropolitan State University of Denver and has worked in municipal government for eighteen years, ten of which with the City of Littleton.

Mark specializes in project management and program development and has been tasked with creating several neighborhood and historic district grant programs. He also manages the city admin side of a social network for neighborhoods, Nextdoor. Nextdoor has grown exponentially and remains the main source of communication from the City of Littleton to neighborhoods.
