Mary Rodriguez
Director of Learning Innovation and Design, Neighborhood Centers Inc.


Mary Rodriguez is the Director of Learning Innovation and Design at Neighborhood Centers Inc. In this role, she works with the CEO to execute strategic agency initiatives in the areas of appreciative inquiry, appreciative community building, organizational development, leadership, human resources, and training. Rodriguez is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Houston Downtown where she leads courses such as community organizing and nonprofits in America. Rodriguez started her academic career at the University of Houston Downtown. During her tenure as an undergraduate Sociology major, Rodriguez studied immigrant and refugee migration patterns to Houston at a local refugee home Casa Juan Diego. Prior to joining the team at Neighborhood Centers, Rodriguez served as an Executive Team Member at the University of Houston Downtown. During Rodriguez’ time at UHD she held various roles in the President’s Office from presidential events, fundraising, to operations management. Mary obtained her MBA from Texas Woman's University and graduated cum laude.

Mary serves as an advisory board member for the Masters in Non Profit Management Program at UHD. Rodriguez is an active member of the National Society of Hispanic MBA's and the Houston Young Professionals Endeavor.
