Patrick Fitzgerald
Senior Director, Community Wildlife at the National Wildlife Federation


Patrick Fitzgerald is the Senior Director of Community Wildlife at the National Wildlife Federation and leads the NWF Community Wildlife Habitat program as well as the NWF Garden for Wildlife Volunteer Programs. More than 150 cities, towns, counties and neighborhoods participate i n NWF’s Community Wildlife Habitat program working to 1) provide pollinator and wildlife habitat throughout their community, 2) raise awareness and educate citizens about pollinators and wildlife, and 3) activate citizens through community service projects and advocacy. Patrick also oversees the Mayors’ Monarch Challenge, an effort to engage local municipalities in monarch butterfly conservation. Before joining NWF, Patrick was the Director of Govt. Relations for The Corps Network and Jumpstart for Young Children and worked on education policy and federal funding issues for Teach For America. Patrick is a graduate of Penn State University.
