Ronnie Devine, MA, CSAPC, QMHP
Project Safe Neighborhoods Manager
Mecklenburg County Community Support Services


Ronnie Devine earned his Master in Science Education and Bachelor of Science in Biology from South Carolina State University. Ronnie received his Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University. Ronnie is a Certified Substance Abuse Prevention Consultant (CSAPC) and Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). In addition, Ronnie completed the Municipal and County Administration Leadership Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Ronnie has extensive experience working with community groups and youth to increase safety and reduce violence. He is the Project Safe Neighborhoods Manager for Mecklenburg County Community Support Services. Ronnie serves as a community liaison and coordinator for the Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) project, which aims to reduce gun violence and increase safety in Mecklenburg County. Also, he is the Coordinator of the Do the Write Thing Essay Program. The program is designed to encourage students in middle schools to write about youth violence and drug abuse in their communities and suggest ways in which these problems can be resolved.
