Ryan Thompson
Mediation Program Coordinator, City of Littleton, Colorado

Ryan Thompson comes to us as the Mediation Program Coordinator for the City of Littleton, Colorado. In 2014 Ryan was given the opportunity to create and implement a Mediation/Conflict Resolution program as a public service offered to the residents of the City of Littleton in 2014. In the first year of operation the Littleton Conflict Resolution Center received over 90 referrals for mediations.

Ryan received his Master of Arts degree in Conflict Management and Interpersonal Communication from Regis University in 2013. Since graduating Ryan has worked as a mediator for Community Mediation Concepts a non-profit organization that provides mediation services to cities in metropolitan Denver and also works with several Police Departments to mediate complaints filed against officers. Ryan also has experience working independently as a mediator in tenant landlord, and municipal mediations.

Ryan specializes in finding effective avenues to communicate with community members to negotiate solutions for ongoing and persistent issues that can be a drain on a community both financially and emotionally. Ryan has a unique ability to work with those in conflict to help strategically communicate new ideas, identify potential roadblocks, and work with parties to find mutually acceptable solutions. Ryan believes that creating strong neighbor to neighbor bonds in a community promotes understanding and cooperation at a community level.
