William Landon, PhD

William Landon’s expertise in research methods and evaluation began with his doctoral training in experimental psychology at the University of Oklahoma where he researched theory development in memory and learning and the influence of cognitive factors and processes in education, training, and licensure. Upon receiving his PhD, he taught psychology and behavioral research methods courses full time at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

In 2014, he took the opportunity to pursue applied behavioral research and evaluation at Neighborhood Centers Inc., first as a Data Analyst and Research Associate and now as the Evaluation Manager. He is responsible for evaluating the impact or significance of programs, initiatives, and agency divisions in relation to individuals, groups, or communities. He uses evaluation to measure impact, gain knowledge, facilitate decision-making, and continuously improve agency efforts for the benefit of developing communities in and around Houston.
